I'm a self-taught developer from Savannah, Georgia. I'm always looking to work with people to solve interesting problem.
I've been building software for a living for a long time. I've been working remotely since about 2007. I love the freedom it gives me, not to mention it has let me work with some amazing teams over the years.
My main talent is learning quickly. I often tell people that I make a living doing things I don't know how to do. It helps that I'm a software and technology generalist - I've worked with a lot of systems, in a lot of languages, and it has given me a large toolbox I can pull from.
I was introduced to computers at a very young age. My dad had a Commodore Vic20, and I was fascinated with it. He started with a few lines of BASIC that printed my name repeatedly, and just went on from there. My middle school I was writing thhings like a card games that cheated (long story) and snippets that automated tasks for his dad's business. When I was introduced to the internet in the early 90's, he was able to learn from people around the world.
I've lived in the Savannah area most of my life. My wife, Amber, and I are adoptive and foster parents. I enjoy trying new beers and cooking. I'm not particularly good at cooking, but I still enjoy it.
